Before the rise of multiplex era our Hindi films were highly dominated by multi-starrer masala entertainers. Right from the 70's era till late 90's these films were made only with one single purpose and that was to entertain its audience by giving them pr

There’s something annoyingly narcissistic about calling yourself a Boss man.

The plot trajectory is something like this – action, song, drama. Repeat. For some variation we have, action, action, song, drama… more drama. Once the story starts panning out in this predictable format and you realize that the plot is as new as any 197

Director Anthony D’Souza’s remake of Malayalam blockbuster Pokkiri Raja has a purposefully illogical but interesting story — well, somewhat interesting until the interval.

Aditi Rao Hydari, however, is a complete misfit in this male-dominated landscape. She possesses a natural feminine grace and this film has no space for any such nicety. She first plays the sultry siren – emerging from a pool in a two-piece bikini and then

Overall, Akshay once again proves that he is the real boss of action comedies. Though this film has all the regular cliched commercial elements that are present in all masala films, ‘Boss’ is still worth a watch.
Mahesh S Koneru, Bollywood 3
Despite being an age-old cinema Akshay Kumar's Boss will find its takers among the ones who have been making films like Chennai Express record-breaking hits. The movie for the others will prove to be highly mediocre.

Boss is perhaps one of the better masaledaar entertainers of the year. There’s definitely a script behind it all and it is packed with oodles of entertainment value. Yes its not path breaking cinema however it never claimed to be. For what Boss promised,

'बॉस' बॉलीवुड में साउथ की फिल्मों का रीमेक बनाना कोई नई बात नहीं है। आजकल वहां की फिल्मों को बॉलीवुड के बड़े स्टार्स के साथ बनाने का चलन इन दिनों जोरों पर है। ऐसे में खिलाड़ी अक्षय कुमार अब 'बॉस'...
For the Sankranthi festival the fans of Darshan besides the 'Pongal' have a real treat from 'Boss'. It is an action extravaganza from debutant R Raghuraj. The bundle of action brought down a little could have attracted the classes because there is aristocratic style and intelligence in the screenplay. The hero Darshan claims in one of the songs that he is the 'Boss' for class and mass!

Akshay Kumar kick gig hilarity is highly intoxicating and contagious for fans and b-town entertainment hungry souls. Viacom 18's 'Boss' is so harmlessly eager to please the audience that only an utterly insensitive bollywood masala lover could object.

But its’ not as rosy as it sounds, too much of sanskar-laden dialogues, the 60’s masala twists with comedy to make it look cool and simply nothing new on the platter to entertain you.

A man who holds a PHD in comedy, acts as a filler in the entire film and is only seen in 3-4 scenes, for less than 2-3 minutes! But if these flaws and hollows are to be overlooked, the film’s quirky dialogues, the characters and the emotions give you an entertainment that’s worth your money

The successful trio D Sivaprasad Reddy, VN Aditya and Nagarjuna - repeated the history once again by proving that their combination could give another hit. True to the comments that many girls dream a date with Nagarjuna and he is very popular as 'Greeku Veerudu' and 'Dream boy' among them, Nagarjuna looked quite dynamic and slim in the film. VN Aditya gave his best in providing good entertainment all through the movie. It has comedy, romance, love, sentiment and also action. The film will definitely attract the class audiences with the classic performance by all the artistes, the thread of entertainment and the melodious songs and their beautiful choreography would pull the general crowds as well.

First half of the film is pretty entertaining. The second half should have been handled better as it encapsulates the main story of the film. Plus points of the film are Nagarjuna, Nayana Tara and the first half. On the flipside the makers should have taken care of the last 25 minutes as the climax point keeps advancing with a few predictable twists. You may watch this film for an entertaining first half.
