For an action film, Ek Tha Tiger is surprising subtle; unexpectedly sweet.
With actors like Girish Karnad (as the RAW chief) and Ranvir Shorey (as Tiger’s trusted operational aide) in the supporting cast, the Ek Tha Tiger gallery of characters rarely gets swamped out of the picture by the starry mannerisms of the male lead.

And while I was hoping to find a lot more to whistle, I cannot thank Kabir Khan enough to get rid of the Dhinka Chika phase.

With a story that holds your interest only in bits and pieces, action which has far better precedents in quite a few Bollywood films itself (leave aside Hollywood) and performances which are decent, not exceptional, 'Ek Tha Tiger' leaves a lot to be desired.
