JABARDASTH - All Reviews

Thaman’s tunes are energetic and catchy , Meghamala song has shotted well and the cinematography is good. Dialogues by Veligonda Srinivas are nice and related to the scenes.

Jabardasth has a funny premise but it is not narrated in an attractive manner. Nandini Reddy had shown promise with her earlier movie, Ala Modalaindi, but she loses her ground this time around. Its an average movie can be watched once.
It’s a replica of Director Nandini Reddy pervious film“Ala Modalaindi”, her intention to make it a comedy jaunt but one gets the feeling that slow pace of the film spoiled her objective.
Overall, Jabardasth is a decent entertainer and it will be a treat for comedy lovers. Don't miss it if you are a fan of Siddharth.
Saddest part of the entire story is UTV had bagged the rights of Band Baaja Baraat and it was announced that Nani will be playing the lead role in the Telugu remake. And now about 80% of the movie is mercilessly lifted by Nandini Reddy.
Despite Nitya’s role being small, her character makes a huge difference to the film. Srihari is important for the film, he and Siddarth worked together in Nuvvasthavante Nenoddhantana.
Nandini Reddy is just with her second film and could have taken much precautions in the narration and direction point of view.Movie has all the stuff for fresh film lovers who avoid watching Bollywood Remake film “Band Baaja Baarat” film.
Nandini Reddy who has done a tender and romantic film like Ala Modalaindi changes the gears and tries her hands at a Priyadarshan kind of nonsensical comedy film with actors like Siddharth and Samantha
Poorly etched characters, heavily hackneyed storyline, Jabardasth fails to impress. Even Sid and Sam’s hot pairing is not enough to save this not so Jabardasth film.
Finally, Jabardasth is fully entertaining and watchable with family but not upto Ala Modalaindi range. If you are watched Band Baaja Baarat, Skip this film. Otherwise, Don't miss this film!
If we come to the analysis, it seems that the lady director Nandini Reddy had got inspired from hit Bollywood movie Band Baaja Baaraat while making the film ‘Jabardasth’ and it is clearly evident in most of the scenes. But, it is not exact copy
Till the time director Nandini Reddy has depended upon the key elements of 'Band Baaja Baaraat,' the treatement was pacy and rib-tickling now and then. Post-intermission, she seems to have lost the idea on how to continue it further.
The saddest part of Nandini reddy is , she followed Unprincipled path as the movie is a complete ripoff of super hit Bollywood movie, Band Baaja Baarat. She tried to make minor changes to the movie to make it suitable to our audience.
Jabardasth is a blatant copy of Bollywood hit Band Baaja Baraat starring Ranvir Singh and Anushka Sharma. Nandini Reddy made few changes to suit to the tastes of our audiences, but most part of the script is heavily inspired/copied from the above mentioned film.
Nandini succeeded in entertaining the class, mass audience and justifies the price paid for ticket. First-half ran smooth with nice songs, neat comedy scenes, keeping you engaged with the movie plot. Second half has entry of cameo roles by Nithya, Srihari, Prince building story forward.

For her second film Jabardasth director B V Nandini Reddy has tread cautiously. She has taken the central thread and theme from the Hindi film, Band Baaja Baarat and given it a slightly desi Telugu twist
Rediff Movies
Jabardasth movie has genuine comedy scenes and its a good comedy entertainer. If you are watched Band Baaja Baarat,Skip this film. Otherwise Don’t miss this film.Overall it is Ok for time pass and an average movie.
Popcorn comedy entertainer. Value for money, but expected more from Nandini.
‘Ala Modalaindi’ was impressive only in comparison with other products of the local market and I couldn’t sit through ‘Band Bajaa Baaraat’. So, the second film of Nandini Reddy which is a remake of the latter was unsurprisingly tedious.
For its fresh theme,it is a one time watch
Nandini might have thought she might have just taken the idea from the Bollywood movie ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ and made her own product but without doubt she has taken 70% from that Hindi flick.
Go and Watch Jabardasth, It is completely romantic entertainer. Everyone must watch.
We'll begin with a word of advice. If you've seen Band Baaja Baaraat, this one might seem like a much-dumbed-down Tollywood adaptation - remake is more like it actually, but since the filmmakers didn't tell us so, we'll trust their integrity
The Times Of India
The story is a straight lift from Band Baaja Baarat with the addition of Nithya Menon and few other characters. The narration was flat with a good twist but the director could not etch all the lead characters properly
The direction was just okay and so was the screenplay. The comedy elements worked well but to those who already watched Band Baaja Baarat, this movie will surely test the patience.
The film finds its inspiration from the Bollywood flick ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ but the director was careful not to copy the whole thing. The first half of the film goes in a good way with elements of romance, comedy and some drama.
You can watch 'Jabardasth' movie, if you haven't watched 'Band Baaja Baarat'.
Siddharth’s fresh characterization, Samantha’s glamour and Nithya Menen’s sterling performance make ‘Jabardasth’ a one time watch. The film’s predictable story line and lack of emotional depth prevent it from rising above the ordinary.
Jabardasth is a romantic comedy film with all masala ingredients. Siddharth-Samantha's performances are the main attractions in the film. Nandini Reddy's engaging screenplay and funny dialogues and one-liners
Over All, the movie is O.K. to watch once with out any expectations.A decent one to watch with a fresh mind.Audience should not look and point out for the logics behind.
Jabardasth draws its strength from its actors. Siddharth sheds his lover boy image, discovers his rustic side and oh boy, he does have a lot of fun. Samantha has grown strength to strength with each film and is a delight to watch.
The Hindu
Jabardasth starring Siddharth and Samantha is the kind of film which makes you wonder why you hadn’t come prepared to witness reel after reel of slapstick humour.
Jabardasth takes off neatly with Sunil’s voiceover and Sid, Samantha’s characterizations introduction but the first half of the film moves at a bit slow pace while the second half is a bit relieving with Nithya Menon, Thagubothu Ramesh, Srihari roles.
Byrraju(sidharth) is a conman and an unsuccessful bussiness man who is always chased by people whom he conned and happens to accidentally over hear a conversation between Shreya(samantha)and her friend in a wedding and and later gets into a job stealing her idea
Director Nandini Reddy perpared a script similar to Ala Modalaindi. She planned it to make it a comedy caper but one gets the feeling that slow pace of the film spoiled her intentions. Some of the scenes looked artificial and the story has no real twists or turns. Everything is predictable.
Jabardasth is slightly resembled of “Tees Maar Khan” and “Band Baaja Bharat.” If you watch these two movies please avoid Jabardasth.
