By these constipated standards, recent years have proved positively diarrhoeal. Delhi Belly treated us to a graphic close-up of the results of the titular condition – I still remember the gasps from the audience

If only the unwanted tracks and weak script would be corrected the impact would have been worth hearing.

A misogynist and illogical film
Sweta Kaushal, Hindustan Times
Miss Tanakpur Hazir Ho is a thought-provoking tale which takes you through the current struggles in the Indian countryside. The satire is subtle and makes you think. If you’re in the mood for substance cinema and are tired of masala flicks, you need to catch this show over the weekend.

On a whole, this film may have looked good from the outside, but do not even try to enter this long overdoes of weird drama. Ignore it this weekend
Neha Prashar Gupta, Bollywood3
The story moves at a painfully slow pace in the first half and perhaps to add to the lack of a robust screenplay, some 'humour' is added through a few puke-inducing scenes like the one where pradhan and his friends discuss faeces, excreta and bowel movements at great length
But then Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho is not the first film to have got lost in the haze between intent and execution.
Tanul Thakur, First Post
On the whole, Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho is, by and large, an entertaining film which will be liked by the class audience but its box-office prospects are dull because its promotion has been extremely low-key and satirical films, as it is, have a very limited market in India
Komal Nahta, KomalsReviews
Loosely based on a newspaper story coming out of Rajasthan where a young boy was supposedly sentenced to jail for having allegedly raped a buffalo, this film by debut making director Vinod Kapri, is a little too laboriously setup to provide any laughs. It plays out like a wildly preposterous ‘ true’ story and the satirical elements are missing.
India Glitz
Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho should have been a much better film, if not let down by writing. The direction however is at par with any other good work. There is no solution preached. But no solid statement made either.

Picked from the crime pages of the vernacular dailies, debutant Vinod Kapri has come up with a social satire that is more ribald than refined

If you like satires and are okay with watching a comedy on rape, then ‘Miss Tanakpur Hazir Ho’ may well a decent watch for you this weekend

The crassness is hardly the worst thing about Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho – that honor goes to the snail like pace and the two and a half hour run time, at the end of which you’ll be wondering what the point of the film was.
