Nenu Shailaja could very well go down as a potentially well intentioned movie that ends being a melodramatic glop.

This is a simple story of relationships, beautifully told. A few frills, like a song in front of a dhaba and a needless land shark of a villain don’t gel with the rest of the film. Ignore these and Nenu Sailaja is a feel-good film to start the year with.

Nenu Sailaja is a different love story and relief from routine entertainers being mashed and thrown up on the audience. Kishore Tirumala has got a good outing with his second film. He particularly came up with very good dialogues and some of the scenes especially the sentiment ones are well written. The comedy quotient is on lower side which is a disappointment. The first half of the film is entertaining with some comedy and romantic scenes. However the second half turns routine and predictable. The sentiment scenes towards the end worked out. Over all it is an average second half. The movie is much better than Ram's recent films and its success will depend a lot on how masses and family audience receive it.
