Pavitra - All Reviews

Overall,it is a different movie.A different script from the routine car chasing scenes etc..,Audience may have felt, that there might be a lot of exposing from Shriya. But they might get upset with the less dose of Expo! A kind of an OKAY film.If at all somebody doesn’t have any work to do & wants a real time pass, can go and watch this movie once.
Finally, Pavithra is good at elevating many of the problems women in our current society are troubled with and ugly shape of politics are also touched. What misses is the sensitive narration without any heart touching episodes. Sometimes, movie runs on a very slow pitch resembling a TV serial. Overall, the bottom line could be simple…a writer is needless to become a director until he learnt the clever knack of playing with scenes and characters, of course also along with mental state of audience
Disappointing would be putting it kindly
Karthik Pasupulate, The Times of India
If one hears the story, he gets a feeling that the film will be a hit. However bad screenplay, direction spoiled the script. Janardhan Maharshi's strenths are shown in some of the dialogues but he failed to impresses with the boring and dragging scenes. Lack of suspense and entertaining elements are the biggest drawbacks.
The film had all kinds of commercial elements that could attract the mass and youth audiences. However, the director says, the film is a must watch for all as it has a good message in it. The theatrical trailers earlier released has Shriya, who played the title role as the USP for the project. The film had hit the screens today.
It is out and out message oriented film
Telugu Mirchi
Pavithra touched the daring parts of the society however didn’t elevate the with a correct taking. Besides Shriya Saran’s curves there’s nothing during this show that is value observance in and of itself. It enclosed Bore and traditional stuff. there is nothing else to mention concerning the show.
Shriya Saran’s prostitute performance is big asset to the movie. The storyline of the movie is wonderful. Direction is rewardable. Now a days most of the movies with the same script came in the earlier period. Most of the movies have shows just the mysterious side of the life but here it is different.
Stunner Shriya attract the audience by her hot looks.she was looking very cute and attractive in many scenes. Everyone knows the stamina of Janardhana Maharshi as a writer, He showed his spark in Pavitra. Dialogues in movie have created sensation. Episodes between Shriya-saikumar, Shriya-Ravibabu are excellent in this movie.
The movie is a must watch for all the fans of Shriya. Watch the movie to see her in a very different role she has ever acted in. Watch it to see a bold and beautiful Shriya.
Filmmakers expected their film being the first film on prostitute after Vedam would get similar name and fame. However Shriya did not get the same name like Anushka. This will be Shriya's final film if indications are any.
It's an out and out MESSAGE oriented, good film.A kind of an OKAY film.If at all somebody doesn’t have any work to do & wants a real time pass, can go and watch this movie once.
Shriya did a good job in this film. She shows a great ease in doing prostitute role and completely justified her role in the film. She has been projected from a totally different angle in this film. She looks terrific in her modern attire as well as in the sari. Shivaji, who played a negative role has delivered his best in the movie.
Writer and director in Janardhana Maharshi story line settles into predictability halfway through, and never bothers to thrill again; Dialogues like Nenu dehanni ammuthunna..meeru ekanga deshanni ammuthunnaru are interesting. Srilekha songs are fine in theater , title song is good. Over all a predictable story with predictable climax.
When, it was declared that Tollywood hot girl Shriya is doing prostitute role in this movie, the general belief of the pubic is that it is decorated with her hot skin shows and some vulgar content. But, surprisingly Janardhan Maharshi has made it in a quite decent style instead of trying to tap the sexual and vulgar angle of the story. However, the film makers ignorance to campaign about this point may keep the general audiences, especially family audiences keep away from the movie.
Shriya’s extraordinary performance, Direction, Social elements which are highlighted, interesting dialogues, Cinematography are the plus point of the movie.
Seems like a routine youngster love-story
Girija Narayan, Oneindia Entertainment
A film for adults?  Actually, Pavitra is a kiddish film.  There is no sense of proportion, no connectivity, it is difficult to say what the film is.
India Glitz
Though Pavitra is fine, it has its share of shortcomings too. In his enthusiasm to tell as much as possible, Janardhana Maharshi has faltered at times. Sivaji episode appears as one movie and the scenes after that appear as another movie. In fact there is no need for Brahmanandam character in the movie. Pavitra’s political entry and winning are shown very quickly without proper logic.
Janardhan Maharshi’s story is completely message oriented and it will not have any commercial elements. Though the story is strong, weak direction and screenplay spoiled the fun. Director’s inexperience is stamped on the film.
Average cinematography,Poor editing,Poor comedy by Brahmanandam,Director’s inability to run story due to inexperience
Pavithra touched the Bold Elements of the society but failed to elevate the with a proper taking. Besides Shriya Saran's curves there is nothing in this movie that's worth watching per se. It included Bore and normal stuff. There's nothing else to say about the movie.
A must see movie not for the skin show of Shriya but for the story with a good message. Shriya's glamour of course is a bonus.
Pavithra could have been a bold film. But it ends up being a slow, boring and outdated flick. Shriya’s glamour is just about the only asset for the film. You can safely skip this unless you want to desperately watch Shriya on the big screen
If you want to see shriya’s skin show on big screen you may watch it otherwise just ignore the movie.
