Romeo - Movie Reviews

However, the film is wonderful tour guide for Rome and Verona cities. Barring that, there is no interesting aspect to this Romeo. So, if you want to enjoy the vistas, then it is alright. But if you want to enjoy a good love story, then you are bound to be terribly disappointed.
Puri Jagannath pushing Gopi Ganesh as director seems to have a reason behind. He appeared like a seasoned technician just in camera and editing departments. Selection of story and script went totally wrong for which Puri needs to be blamed on. First half drags and drags with feeble thread. Strong points or what they call twists or turns are incompetently presented. Except the production standards and capitalizing on Italy tourism, there is nothing substantial to flex on viewers attention. With entry of Raviteja and other characters, second half was made a little entertaining else this is a refuse. All in all, ‘Romeo’ might be enjoyed by a section of multiplex audiences if they really have time to kill.
omeo has a weak storyline that fails to entertain and is tiresome to sit through. The movie infact is devoid of moments that would at least make us chortle. Instead we served with lame romance and humor. The writing could have been much better for this story, it tries hard to convince the audience but doesn’t. On the whole, there was a reason why Puri Jagannadh didn’t try to release Sairam Shankar’s Romeo on his own banner and left it languishing in cans for years. Stay away from it, as it has nothing to offer in the theatre or on DVD.

Romeo is all about pseudoromance, pseudo-love, pseudo-surrealism.

On the whole, Romeo is a film which fails majorly because of bad execution and shoddy screenplay. Sai Ram Shankar’s performance and a few songs are the only plus points in this film. Puri Jagan needs to come up with something special this time around to give his brother a much needed hit.
what do you expect from a Rajasenan film? Of Course, you can't imagine him telling a die hard serious affair. Going by the previous acquaintances you know it will be a family friendly comedy, with a few slapstick sequences, built around mistaken identities, masquerades and a load of comedy artists and character artists. Don't mistake this as anything different from the earlier ones. Romeo too is planned as a laugh riot, with a 'laugh a minute' formula. We seems to laugh all through, but the problem is that the film doesn't take to us too much, leaving us desiring for more. That is why I think most came out of the theaters with a steady Not so bad

“Romeo” is not worth of your valuable two hours,as there isn’t anything in it. But if you want a fresh female face with sufficient glamour and promising acting skills, go watch it for Adonica.
For a love story, rich locations and strong production values bring a color but the juice of emotion and feelings is generated through the screenplay and the dialogues. In this film, the first half has an element of suspense and some emotion. The interval bang was alright and the second half had few share of twists and turns. But it must be said that there were not enough hook points to keep the audience engrossed. Overall, this is a film which had good potential but the execution was a little lackluster.
Romeo will not appeal to you. It disappoints! Look for other films that released today!
Senseless Love story!
The cinema as a whole 'Romeo' is an assorted film from various Tamil films by PC Shekar. In building the character of the protagonist he miserably fails. According to the image of romantic hero this director fails to carve a character. Ganesh the master in dialogue delivery is given action, intoxication, begging for love all aversion to the fans of Ganesh. He is able to delivery lively performance. It is seen only in parts in 'Romeo'.

Lot of expectations arose when Romeo came with the tagline 'puri raasina premakatha'. After watching the film many wonder whether Puri really provided story for the film or filmmakers promoted to attract viewers. This because the film has no story at all which is not Puri's case. Right from the start to finish, except for hero running after heroine for love, nothing happens.
