SON OF SATYAMURTHY - Movie Reviews

This is the weakest film of Trivikram. Weak Script! Weak comedy! Weak Pace!
Chitramala
Being out and out a Trivikram film, more emphasize is on dialogues and production values take a back seat, despite being good. It’s more of play between emotions and sentiments with a comedy tinge. As it is coming after his blockbuster Attharintiki Daaredi, audiences are sure to draw comparisons between the two, in spite of which it is good watch.
Telugucinema
On the whole, It is a perfect entertainer for this summer. Son Of Satyamurthy is rich in values and broke in commercial gimmicks. We agree that It is undoubtedly the weakest work of Trivikram till date but it is not a bad film. Nevertheless it is shall be a great fun to watch Son Of Satyamurthy along with your family.
OneIndia
In the end, there are a bunch of interesting moments and well-written dialogues that linger in your mind. But, this is far from the best works of Trivikram or Allu Arjun in recent times. It's not even the lack of enough number of rip-roaringly hilarious scenes that strikes your mind, but the randomness with which most part of the film has been dealt with that is more jarring.

This is a full length entertainer with catchy Trivikram dialogues. This family drama can be watched with family. You don’t feel bored watching the movie which is stretched to 162 minutes.
Business Of Tollywood
An Uncomfortable Trivikram Offering.Commercially, Sathya Murthy is sure to dazzle in openings. Being summer vacation, collections would be on par with top records. How far masses and family audience would grasp the plot in total is to be wait and seen.

S/O Satyamurthy’ is not your average Allu Arjun movie that offers loads of entertainment and terrific dances. It is not a typical Trivikram entertainer either. Instead, it ends up as an average family entertainer that might just scrape through because of the summer holidays. A decent second half and an emotional climax redeem this movie and offset a shoddy first half.

Devi Sri Prasad's music is one of the biggest assets of this film. All the songs are superb and have been shot extremely well. But it is his background score which elevates the film to a decent level. Dialogues in any Trivikram film are top notch and S/O Satyamurthy is no exception. Certain dialogues which define human values have been written with a lot of depth.

Trivikram tries his best to explain how a father plays a significant role in shaping up their son's career. But the way it has been presented leaves a lot to be desired at a runtime of 162 minutes.

S/O Satyamurthy offers routine elements which may put off movie lovers. With so many artists, Trivikram found it difficult to extract the best out of all and this affected the pace of his film along with his screenplay and direction.

Bunny and Trivikram is probably the nicest combination apart from Trivikram and Pawan Kalyan. They seem to be in sync and Trivikram’s dialogues go perfectly well with their body language and on-screen persona. So, SOS is yet another attempt at cashing in on this awesome synchronization between the director and his hero.

If you can ignore the routine story and go without any expectations, you can easily give this film a shot with the entire family

It is must watch film. It has all the elements which a movie should have. But it is little disppointment if you go with high expectations.

S/O Satyamurthy is an unexpected film in the combination of Trivikram and Allu Arjun. The Entertainment part which we expect takes a back seat. Definitely a one time watch but it fails to satisfy both the fans of Trivikram or Allu Arjun. Only the no competition and summer holidays should save it.

Overall, this is a film which has got bright moments on and off but doesn’t give that uniform satisfaction. At the box office, the openings will be high but it would require positive word of mouth to score a hit.

It's a family entertainer sans memorable heroism. The second half will work with a good many number of audience. No big-ticket movies from Tollywood in the offing, this one might make a windfall.

Trivikram did what he is good at, a little fast paced narration could make a difference. Neat performances by top notch stars, more clarity to Nithya's role and importance to Vennala Kishore is apprehended. Comparatively, first half seems okay with emotional journey and literally less comedy, whereas the second half is par excellence. Everything is said. Go watch Son of Satyamurthy, as very rarely you get to see all your favourite stars at once on screen.

The film missed Trivikram mark dialogues and stamp in total. Trivikram failed in his screen-play and direction. First half is an average and second half dragged with film ending on a routine note. Trivikram with galaxy of stars did not make justice to anyone and Tamil flavor too put viewers off. No interval bang, too lengthy, slow pace, No trivikram punches, No comedy, stops the film’s success.

The film attempts to break away from staid portrayal of women and notions of machismo in Telugu cinema. The don wants his wife to be happy and hides his dark side from her. The heroine is cast a diabetic. There are lines that scoff at people who label a girl unlucky when her engagement is broken. Also, the wall with post-its in Rajendra Prasad’s house says something about marriages in which communication has taken a beating.

One only for Bunny and Trivikram. It might take at least a week to know how the film will actually do at the theatres. It may pick up slowly since there are no big releases till the month end or it could lose steam in the second week.

Both Allu Arjun and Trivikram are at high point of their career after delivering Race Gurram and Attarintiki Daaredi respectively. Hence, we expect another hugely satisfying film from their combination. Son of Sathyamurthy has got good intention and good moral values.

S/O Satyamurthy is a perfect emotional family entertainer to watch this summer with your entire family. Except the low levels of entertainment the movie has nothing bad. The performances of the lead actors and the emotional content takes the movie to the next level. Go watch it.

S/O Satyamurthy will have to rely upon external factors to sail through to a safe zone. Holiday season and no big releases until three weeks gives enough space for the movie to do decent business at the box office. End result of the movie will depend upon how the families embraces it.
