A dreaded gangster that you cannot take seriously (partially because it comes in the form of Himesh Reshammiya)
Sonia Chopra, Sify
The patriotism bit too seems forced and out of place.
Renuka Vyavahare, Times of India
One character says : “oh god it’s a mess”. An apt line.
Shubhra Gupta, Indian Express
The film only showcases Himesh and his limited talent
Rajeev Masand, IBN Live
Himesh Reshammiya, the only valid reason for Teraa Surroor's existence, does not show any expression. Not even one. Not even a quarter
Sukanya Verma, Rediff
Even the title doesn’t hold up, in relation with the film. ‘Suroor’ is Urdu for joy, and there is none to be found in this movie.
Suprateek Chatterjee, Huffington Post
So on an overall basis, this movie seems to be a well presented picturesque thriller. The movie had full potential to be on the lines of few of our good thrillers but, will still cater to its targeted audience and die-hard fans of HimeshReshammiya.
Divya Solgama, Cine Markets
Does Teraa Surroor have any redeeming feature at all? Well, the length is a bit of a relief. The film’s runtime is 15 minutes under two hours. So, it isn’t as patience-trying as it otherwise might have been.
So bad, it’s not even funny
Anupama Chopra, Hindustan Times
The one star is for the gorgeous Dublin locations, and for the infectious music
Rajeev Masand, Rajeev Masand
It’s quite an ordeal to sit through
Khalid Mohamed, Spot Boye
Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur makes a rare appearance, but unfortunately, this yet so charming man doesn’t deserve two random scenes and a tacky, bizarre line which goes like "Bad girls should not get good boyfriends" or whatever.

The trailer you watched is far superior to what you watched for two hours. Everything happens so slowly, you want to take the hero's gun (he's just posing with it!) and shoot yourself with it, or at least someone in the movie just to get a reaction from them.
Manisha Lakhe, Nowrunning
On a whole, Teraa Surroor is a decent thriller which will hook you for most of the run time. Himesh’s fans will love it even more because of his new avatar and good songs.

The film does have imperfections but true Himesh Reshammiya fans won’t be bothered much. ‘Teraa Surroor’ offers all the elements that one would expect after watching ‘Aap Ka Suroor’

‘Teraa Surroor’ is a typical ‘masalaa’ entertainer and Himesh Reshammiya fans will like it.
All-in-all, Teraa Surroor is strictly for diehard Himesh fans. Let’s hope for his sake that he manages to find enough of them…
Devesh Sharma, Film Fare
Right from the K.L.Saigal era to the times of Kishore Kumar followed by Sonu Nigam and others many top notched singers ventured into the world of acting. While the former turned out to be the superstar, the latter failed miserably. Actorsingers like Kishore Kumar tried to balance between both the worlds, but ended up conquering as a singer. Decade's later one witnessed something unique in the form of Himesh Reshammiya the producer-singer-music director, when he ventured into the world of acting with his surprise hit 'Aap Kaa Surroor'. This movie also boasted many other singers to venture into this niche area of actor-singer with few successful examples such as Ayushmann Khurrana, Ali Zafar, etc. Sadly, Himesh could not sustain his acting stardom and after several attempts once again he returns back with a romantic thriller 'Teraa Surroor'. The music is already making its mark and the good will of 'Aap Kaa Surroor' is still high with Himesh's loyal fans due to which the expectations are decent among his fans and all those who love his type of music.

Cinematography is the major highlight of Teraa Surroor and the production values of the movie have been rich enough. Now don’t ask me about the direction and don’t dare to know about it, as it might haunt you in the late nights.

Teraa Surroor, in simple words, is a true Himesh film made for his crazy fans. You will definitely love the songs of the film and the beautiful locations in the movie are a treat to your eyes.
Akshata Shetty, India.Com
The non-linear edits allow for some complexity but it’s not a definitive one. Shawn Aranha shows off his style quotient but the intelligence and organic creativity is missing. And that calls for a less than satisfying experience!

The difference is, with Teraa Surroor, you don't have a gun to go mad with or even just shoot yourself. But if you insist, drink every time there is bad acting on screen. Drink twice when you spot Monica Dogra's dubbing gaffes. Teraa Surroor is only 106 minutes but you'd be floored by about 50.

Farah Karimaee’s cast is less commendable, she was perfect on expressions but got less chance to show her talent. If she will continue work on big screens, we could expect something big here.
