In the very beginning of this film -- a debut venture by actress-turned-director Deepa Sahi -- a young boy of about 14 spouts a worldly-wise dialogue, something to the effect of how making love is a rubbish term and what a couple actually wants is sex.
Newly-weds Rahul and Pooja go for their honeymoon to picturesque Himachal determined to celebrate their love and pledge ever-after to each other.

Tere Mere Phere has entertaining comedy upto a point but not the face value and the initial pulling power to make a mark at the box-office.
An extremely loud and raucous Tere Mere Phere is one crazy film that you should be away from. Watch it only if you want to risk your hearing power!
Mansha Rastogi, Now Running
Tere Mere Phere is not only a romantic comedy, it is a black comedy, slapstick comedy, satire, comedy of manners, screwball comedy -- all rolled in one. Deepa's attempt to weave in every sub-genre of comedy is probably the nemesis of the movie.
Filmmaker Ketan Mehta, who has made epic movies like ‘The Rising- Ballad of Mangal Pandey’, ‘Rang Rasiya: Colors of Passion’ and others, is back again with an all-together different genre movie ‘Tere Mere Phere’. This rom-com is directed by Ketan Mehta’s

Tere Mere Phere is the kind of film where the humiliating performances by the lead pair fail a honestly well-thought story. Poorly written screenplay makes the matters worse....

Riya Sen in her guest appearance looks pretty though her role is too brief for her image

Even though the writer and director try to pepper the narrative of 'Tere Mere Phere' with enough moments that try to bring out the disparity between men and women, results are neither funny nor engaging. This is where the film tries to take a 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' mood by explaining varied characteristics of the two sexes. However episodes around 'men don't like asking for directions' and 'women like things to be totally organised' are hardly the kind that are original and only makes one wonder if the makers could have thought of something newer that came straight out of life.
