Good movie with neat message, but not a family entertainer. Guys (only) Watch it with your friends for Murugadoss and Indian Army.
Bring together an enviable team like director A.R. Murugadoss, cinematographer Santosh Sivan, actor Vijay and editor Sreekar Prasad and what you get is a slick action thriller. Thuppakki, in one line, has a military officer hunting down a terrorist...

Commercially, 'Tupaki' might be a profitable project in Tamil because of Vijay factor. When target audience for this kind of action thrillers form a low minortiy core, it is difficult to anticipate on where the Telugu version will land.
With brilliant crew members and Vijay on board, it is no doubt Thuppakki will be a technically sound action entertainer. If the opening word of mouth is good, Thuppakki might be the perfect film to uplift the festive mood this Diwali and break a few box-office opening records.
Tupaki is a finely made action film with good amount of thrills. The film runs at a good pace despite the length. First half is very good with a wonderful pre interval episode. Second half also has some edge of the seat stuff. Director is visible throughout the action part.
On the whole, Thuppakki is one film which has everything going right for it. A stylish Vijay, some exceptional thrilling moments and edge of the seat action makes this film surely worth a watch. Finally, one can say that yet another Tamil hero has success
It is not an easy task to impress with the terrorist subject. Many Telugu and Tamil films those have come as action fims with the elements of terrorism have ended up as laughing stocks. Hence there has been a general opinion....
Thuppaki is that he keeps the intelligent in the story going till the last and by the end of the operation in the sea, one wishes the drama continued. Other than that Thuppaki makes for a thrilling drama
AR.Murugadoss this time stuck to Vijay’s mass image in Kollywood and made the film with out experimenting much. Songs and their placement have lot to be desired. They broke the continuity in the film.
Tupaki is a stylish and slick entertainer. The director has stuck with the main theme and didn’t dilute it for the sake of masala. It is a subject that has pan-India appeal and it’s an..
Murugadoss got a neat script and though sleeper cells, army etc may be above the heads of masses, the suspense part in the film and the mind games between hero and villain will catch their attention.
In essence, Thuppakki has the energy of Vijay and intellect of A.R. Murugadoss.

The movie was very well conceived by Murugudoss. The preinterval block, Fight between Vijay & Vidyut Jamal in ship, the Kidnap scene and the climax block are very intriguing. Considering the no competition from other biggies of...
So after all the hype and hoopla, Vijay's 'Thuppakki' is out for the people's verdict. The final product from A R Murugadoss has taken some time to get delivered, owing to various hurdles it encountered en route, but has hit the target in a stylish and sophisticated manner.

Stylish Vijay in exceptional stunts will surely make audience to whistle. Second Half Pre-Climax scenes will surely entertain audience with high definition stunts in the film between Hero and Villain.
Murugadoss after 'Seventh Sense' in which he dealt with biogenetic war this time decided to stick to Indian roots and sought to rise patriotism touching upon lives of Army officers. His script is neatly woven and Vijay did full justice to the role.
Thuppakki movie starts off well with Vijay’s introductions as an army officer. Director Murugudoss has selected a sensitive script and has made sure that the connectivity between the scenes is not lost, unlike the regular dubbing movies.
The movie is a suspense thriller. The mind game between Vijay and Vidyut Jamwal is the excellent part of the movie. The climax too was a greatest part of the movie. The director of the movie is able to stick the audience to the seats throughout the movie.
Vijay, though being one of the superstars in Tamil film industry, is not so popular in Telugu film industry. Few of his films were dubbed into Telugu and they too failed to draw the attention of the Telugu audience.
The film is the dubbed version of the Tamil movie with the same title. Murugadoss is an action packed director and it is totally upto him to elevate the image of Vijay in Tollywood because the superstar has not managed success here.
Overall the Movie will fall in to the segment of HIT. The patriotism theme is awesomely presented. The director handled the terrorist and army fight in a smooth and convincing manner.Kudos to Vijay for a brilliant performance.
