Even the collective charm of the Deols can’t make this drivel palatable. It’s exhausting, loud and so cheerfully moronic that it hurts.

This one's not a classic by any standard, but watch it once if the mention of Dharmendra brings a warm smile to your face
Like all Indian films these days, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 starts with a disclaimer asserting that no animals were hurt during the shoot. Isn’t the poor orangutan an animal? It must be terribly ‘hurt’ at being treated with such disdain by mankind!
Yamla Pagla Deewana 2’ is organized chaos.  It’s like a montage of gags put together, there is nothing offensive about the humour but it isn’t smart either.

On the whole, Yamla Pagal Deeewana 2 is one film which goes completely wrong. The Deol star power will initially attract viewers but a weak script, forced comedy and some lackluster scenes spoil the fun completely. Don’t be fooled by the trailers and safe

In conclusion, that ‘magic’ of the Deols was misplaced in YPD 2 and perhaps the novelty of seeing them together again too. YPD 2 is not as fun as its first part and nor does it pack the punch which most big budget comedy blockbusters are expected to do. F
